A perspective from someone who DOESNT want a rainbow dancing room but just … lightWe have a handful of these lamps in our house, usually set on either blue, pure white, or some very, very subtle coloring. I understand all the marketing is for RGB game room stuff, but as a grown-up, I don’t really want or need pulsing rainbow light in every room of my house.HAVING SAID THAT – compared to their competitors, the product is sturdier, more consistent, and the build quality is much, much higher. The app can be a little bit goofy but works once you’re used to its quirks.The app is updated regularly as is the firmware on the lamps (!) so any weird issues you may see in older reviews has almost definitively been fixed.We have 3 lamps (2 different models) throughout the house; all are on different colors, different intensity, and different automatic schedules and work flawlessly.All I ask now is that they make some lamps in WHITE instead of black or silver for those of us with boring, Apple-themed houses.

Fun, but not brightThe app is super easy and lots of options. It does look great with my monitor backlighting also by govee, which I love! I wish the two could be controlled simultaneously though from the app. It’s easy to put together despite any negative reviews, just follow the instructions! The metal housing seems strong, and I love that it’s minimal and small enough to fit into any space. My only complaint is its little less bright than I had hoped for no matter what setting, adjusted fully to 100%. Despite my bed being next to the lamp its barely bright enough to read a book by, the dim salt lamp is even more effective. It also seems to be much less responsive to sound than the monitor backlighting. If you’re looking to add personality to your room its great, especially if bought on sale, but if you’re also planning to use it for actual lighting you might be disappointed.

So coolI purchased this as an impulse buy, but I actually love it! It sort of warms up the space. Purchased one for my living room and 1 for my bedroom. Super fun and the lighting options are super cool. Reminds me of a club, but not like those cheap lights that you find at Spencer Gifts. (If that still exists lol)

Very high qualityI liked how it assembled perfectly and had a magnetized screwdriver supplied. It’s precision built ! Unfortunately I don’t have wifi so am not able to say it can change colors as shown ! I only get like 6 levels of white.

Cool lightEasy to set up and functions as it should. App is easy to navigate and works with my google!
